Tucker DeVries scored 20 points on 6-for-12 shooting, and No. 25 Indiana cruised to a 100-56 win over Bethune-Cookman on Saturday afternoon in Bloomington, Ind.
Landon Wilkerson added 18 points on 7-for-15 shooting for Indiana (7-0), which continued its unbeaten start to the season. Trent Sisley added 14 points and nine rebounds.
The bench duo of Sam Alexis and Nick Dorn also piled in 14 points while shooting a combined 10 of 15 from the field. Alexis piled in eight rebounds, two steals and a block.
Jakobi Heady scored 15 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead Bethune-Cookman (2-6). Daniel Rouzan scored 10 points and grabbed four rebounds.
Indiana finished with 27 assists to go along with seven turnovers. By comparison, Bethune-Cookman ended the game with nine assists and 11 rebounds.
The Hoosiers raced to a 51-23 lead at the half.
Tayton Conerway tipped in a basket to give Indiana a 9-3 lead in the first two minutes.
Jakobi Heady responded with a basket on the other end of the court to cut the deficit to 9-5, but Bethune-Cookman did not hang around for long.
Five minutes into the game, Indiana already had 20 points. Tucker DeVries knocked down a 3-pointer to increase the Hoosiers’ lead to 20-9.
An 8-0 run increased Indiana’s lead to 30-13 midway through the first half. Reed Bailey capped the run with a pair of free throws with 10:27 to play.
Wilkerson made a layup to put the Hoosiers at the 50-point mark with 44 seconds to go before the break.
Bethune-Cookman trailed for 30-plus points for most of the second half.
The Wildcats shot only 31% from the field and made 3 of 15 attempts (20%) from beyond the arc.
Indiana shot 54.5% from the field and 38.7% from deep.
