The Tennessee Titans activated cornerback L’Jarius Sneed from the physically unable to perform list Wednesday.
The two-time Super Bowl champion passed his physical and was cleared to return to practice after a long recovery.
In Week 5 last season, his first with the Titans, he sustained a quad injury that wiped out the rest of his campaign.
“It’s good to have him back out there,” defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson said before practice, per ESPN. “He’s chomping at the bit and has done everything in his power in the training room to get to this point. I’m excited for the young man, not just the football player because I know the work he’s put in to get out there.”
Sneed, 28, recorded 23 tackles in five starts before the injury. He has 10 interceptions, 40 passes defensed, 6.5 sacks and 326 tackles in 62 games (59 starts) with the Kansas City Chiefs (2020-23) and Titans.
Tennessee signed Sneed to a four-year, $76.4 million contract after acquiring him in a March 2024 trade with Kansas City. He carries a cap hit of $22.6 million in 2025.
The Titans conclude the preseason Friday at home against the Minnesota Vikings. They open the regular season on the road against the Denver Broncos on Sept. 7.
